Volkswagen e-Golf 2017

One of the most popular electric cars will soon get a facelift and improved range. The current range is 190 km, but with the new version set to launch in March, it will be extended to 300 km based on the NEDC-norm. This is an increase of about 50%.

The battery in the new model will be chargable to 80% in one hour at a CCS charging station (DC, 40 kW). The battery has also an increased capasity from 24.2 kWh to 35.8 kWh. When charging from the home wallbox (AC, 7.2 kW), the battery will be 100% charged in 6 hours.

The electric motor has also been inproved in the e-Golf and the new version will have 100 kW, which is an improvement of 15 kW from previous model.
